CENTROTEC Industries sustainability impact report 2025
Recognising the significance of sustainability, we have developed a comprehensive framework that extends across all our subsidiaries. This report is our invitation to share the story of our sustainability journey with our stakeholders, showing not just what we aim to achieve, but how we are making it happen. We know that this is just the beginning, and we value your ideas and feedback to help us grow and improve. Sustainability, for us, is a journey of continuous learning and collaboration.
CENTROTEC Industries has published its third Sustainability Impact Report, covering the 2025 sustainability performance of the group and its companies. The report outlines progress towards its 2030 goals and its vision to develop as a circular brand.
A key achievement in 2025 was reaching the target of reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions by 35%, ahead of the group’s 2030 commitment. This result was mainly driven by energy-efficiency measures and certified low-carbon electricity contracts across most facilities.
“Reaching our 35% Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ reduction target ahead of our 2030 commitment is a significant achievement,” says Steven Meun, Sustainability Director at CENTROTEC Industries. “It demonstrates the impact of energy-efficiency measures, low-carbon electricity and close collaboration across our organisation.”
Renewable energy performance was further strengthened through the installation of large-scale solar panel systems at the group’s location in Doesburg, the Netherlands.
The Rolf Schmidt Industrial Plastics manufacturing site in Kolding, Denmark, received ISO 14001 certification. CENTROTEC Industries also recorded a lower overall Lost Time Incident Rate compared with 2024, reflecting its continuous commitment to workplace safety.
Alongside these milestones, the report highlights progress in reducing waste and packaging, increasing recycled material input and improving transparency. New Life Cycle Assessments were developed in 2025, and certified Environmental Product Declarations are planned for selected products in 2026. More products containing recycled materials were also introduced, contributing to the group’s 2030 target for recycled material input.
“Our journey towards becoming a circular brand continues,” Meun adds. “Aligning this report with the GRI Standards helps us communicate our progress and challenges more transparently, while keeping our focus on continuous improvement.”
The report also acknowledges the challenges that remain. Further progress is needed in reducing waste and packaging, increasing the use of recycled materials and strengthening transparency across the value chain. CENTROTEC Industries recognises that developing as a circular brand is not a linear process, but a shared journey that requires collaboration, reliable data and continuous learning.
The group’s sustainability approach is structured around four strategic pillars: Our Solutions, Our Operations, Our People and Our Commitments. These pillars provide a common direction across CENTROTEC Industries while enabling each company to contribute through its own expertise, capabilities and initiatives.
